Welcome to our little tattoo haven

At Outpost Tattoo Southampton, we’re a private, relaxed tattoo studio with a friendly, family-run feel, shared by three artists who genuinely love what we do. Creating a calm, pressure-free experience is just as important to us as creating beautiful tattoos, so you’ll never feel rushed, judged, or out of place here.

Our Artists

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely — you’re very welcome here. I do lots of first-time tattoos and I’m always happy to take things slowly, explain the process, and answer all your questions. There’s no such thing as a silly question in this studio.

  • Of course. Comfort is a huge priority for me. We can take breaks, go at your pace, adjust the session, and make the experience as calm and relaxed as possible. You’re never an inconvenience for needing reassurance.

  • Yes — always. Tattooing is a collaboration. We’ll work on the design together and tweak things until it feels just right for you. I’ll never rush you into a design you’re not 100% happy with.

  • I work across most styles, but I especially love florals, colour, watercolour, and fine line tattoos. If you’re unsure whether your idea is something I can help with, just ask — I’m always happy to chat it through.

  • I do — and I love them. Cover-ups can be incredibly rewarding, and I’ll always be honest about what’s possible while working with you to create something you’ll feel confident wearing.

  • Absolutely. You can take breaks whenever you need — for a stretch, a breather, or a snack. There’s no pressure to push through discomfort here.

  • Item descriptionYes! We have snacks and drinks available to help keep you comfortable throughout your appointment. You’re also welcome to bring your own favourites.

  • The studio is based at Basepoint Business Centre in Southampton, with free parking available — nice and stress-free from the moment you arrive.

  • Both are completely fine! I love a good chat, but I’m also very happy to match your energy. Whether you want conversation, quiet focus, or a bit of both — just be yourself.

  • Please let me know. I’m always happy to accommodate additional needs and make adjustments where possible. My aim is for everyone to feel safe, relaxed, and supported.

Booking & Deposits

  • To book, please get in touch either via email to madeleinemoorestattoo@gmail.com or DM me on instagram or facebook. I’ll chat through your idea with you, answer any questions, and make sure we’re both happy before securing a date.

  • Yes — a deposit is required to secure your appointment. This covers drawing time and reserves your slot in my diary.

  • Deposit amounts vary depending on the tattoo, but this will always be clearly communicated before you book. There are no surprises — everything is transparent and agreed in advance.

  • The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment, once your tattoo is complete.

  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed when you book. If you have any questions about payment, just ask — I’m always happy to clarify. Cash or bank transfer is fine, but I can also consider other options if needs be!

  • Deposits are non-refundable, as time is set aside specifically for you. However, they are fully deducted from the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment.

  • Yes — life happens! I’m always happy to move your appointment with at least 5 days notice. Your deposit will be transferred to your new date.

  • Cancellations with less than 5 days notice, or missed appointments, will result in the loss of your deposit. This is simply to protect my time and the studio. A new deposit will be required to rebook.

  • If something unavoidable happens, please get in touch as soon as possible. I’m always happy to talk things through and will do my best to be fair and understanding wherever I can.

  • Of course. Small changes are absolutely fine, and we’ll always go through the final design together before we start. If the idea changes significantly, we may need to reassess timing or pricing — but this will always be discussed openly.
