Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking an appointment at Outpost Tattoo. By paying a deposit and securing your booking, you agree to the policies outlined below.
1. Age Restrictions & ID
Legal Age: Under the UK Tattooing of Minors Act 1969, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
Proof of Age: You must be 18 years or older on the day of your appointment. Please bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (Passport or Driving Licence). We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. No ID, no tattoo, and your deposit will be lost.
2. Bookings & Deposits
Securing an Appointment: All appointments are booked via email or direct message (Instagram/Facebook). A deposit is strictly required to secure your appointment and cover initial drawing time.
Non-Refundable: All deposits are strictly non-refundable as they reserve time in the artist’s diary and cover the administrative/design process.
Final Cost Deduction: Your deposit will be fully deducted from the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment.
Deposit Amount: Deposit amounts vary depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo. This will always be clearly communicated and agreed upon before you book.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Notice Period: If you need to reschedule, we require a minimum of 5 days’ notice. Provided this notice is given, your deposit will be seamlessly transferred to your new appointment date.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 5 days’ notice, or failure to show up for your appointment, will result in the immediate loss of your deposit. This policy is in place to protect the artist’s time and the studio. A new deposit will be required to rebook.
Illness & Emergencies: If you are feeling unwell or an unexpected emergency occurs, please get in touch as soon as possible. We aim to be fair and understanding and will discuss your options with you.
4. Pricing & Payment Methods
Remaining Balance: The outstanding balance of your tattoo is due in full on the day of your appointment, immediately after the tattoo is completed.
Accepted Payment Types: We accept Cash and Bank Transfer. Other payment options may be considered if arranged and agreed upon prior to your appointment date.
5. The Design Process & Alterations
Collaboration: Tattooing is a collaborative process. We will work on your design together to ensure you are 100% happy with it before any tattooing begins.
Design Changes: Small tweaks and changes to the design on the day are absolutely fine. However, if you significantly change your tattoo idea after paying your deposit, we may need to reassess the pricing or timing of the session. We will always discuss this openly with you prior to starting.
Cover-Ups: We are happy to undertake cover-up projects. We will always provide an honest assessment of what is achievable to ensure a result you feel confident wearing.
6. Studio Environment, Health & Comfort
Your Comfort: Outpost Tattoo is a safe, inclusive, and relaxed space. We happily accommodate nervous or anxious clients, as well as first-timers. There is never any pressure, and you are never an inconvenience.
Breaks: You are welcome to take as many breaks as you need during your session to stretch, breathe, or eat. We do not expect you to push through discomfort.
Food & Drink: The studio provides complimentary snacks and drinks to keep your blood sugar levels up. You are also highly encouraged to bring your own favourite snacks/lunch.
Communication & Adjustments: Whether you prefer to chat during your session or sit in quiet focus, we are happy to match your energy. If you require any specific adjustments to feel safe, relaxed, and supported, please let us know prior to or during your appointment.
Parking: Free, stress-free parking is available on-site at the Basepoint Business Centre.
7. Health & Aftercare
Alcohol & Drugs: Please do not consume alcohol or blood-thinning medication 24 hours prior to your appointment. We will not tattoo anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Aftercare: Full aftercare instructions will be provided at the end of your session. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions carefully to ensure the proper healing of your tattoo.
